The modernization of benefits contract language, introduction of additional drug review processes and preferred provider networks were under the spotlight at the 2nd Annual Benefits Advisors’ Drug Plan Outlook. Mapol Inc., in partnership with Benefits and Pensions Monitor, brought together benefits advisors from across Canada with representatives of Canada’s brand pharmaceutical manufacturers on November 26, 2015 in Toronto at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The purpose of this meeting was to review key developments and trends in the benefits industry as they pertain to drug plans, to understand how these changes have impacted benefits advisor / employer relations, and to find some ‘common ground’ to develop mutual solutions that will allow all stakeholders to work together more effectively.
